Role Description

Job Purpose
  • Implement a plan for preventive maintenance schedule and execute it. Ensuring that the Plant Machinery are maintained at best efficiency. The Position is also responsible to implement capex in the plant as part of upgradation and productivity improvements. The Position is also responsible to adhere and comply to all the requirement as mentioned in the Aadhar shree Paints Manual. The candidate will be responsible of procurement and technical evaluation of the tender

Key Performance Indicators

 

  1. Preventive maintenance , Proactive maintenance, Breakdown Maintenance, to reduce breakdown and to increase availability
  • Review of the preventive maintenance schedule
  • Identify the root cause of failure
  • Implementation of suitable corrective action and preventive action
  • Review of the engineering personnel wrt day to day activity.
  • Coordinating with the cross functional team to achieve day’s target.
  • Regular interaction with the team member to check compliance

 

 

  1. ISO 9000, 14000, and BSC safety system
  • Training to the engineering personnel
  • Implementation of the manual at shop floor
  • Check on the process to ensure no deviations.
  • Self- assessment of the process to be done to ensure compliance.
  • Updation of manual with best practice.
  • Interaction with plant to understand and to ensure common practice is followed.
  • Regular check to ensure compliance
  1. Management of Stores and Spares and overhead budgeting.
  • Managing stores inventory
  • Interacting with vendor for the spares, negotiation and other technical discussion.
  • Regular check of the system to ensure hygiene of the system, such as open purchase order, Open reservations, Pending gate pass.
  • Vendor evaluation and vendor selection
  • Release of Annual maintenance contract to maintain the equipment, review of AMC vendor.
  • Vendor assessment at the year end.
  • Review and approve minimum spares inventory of critical consumables.

 

  1. Energy Management
  • Forecasting the SPC for the month based on the production plan
  • Forming an energy management cell
  • Monitoring improvements related to energy conservation
  • Review of the target in terms of energy saving against achieved
  • Reporting of the power and fuel expenditure and plan mitigation action in case of target not achieved.
  • Maintaining critical factors such as Specific fuel consumption and specific power consumption.

 

  1. Contractor management
  • Selection of the vendor
  • Vendor assessment for service provided
  • Cost control and manpower control in terms of number of persons coming in the plant.
  • Ensuring the statutory compliance by the contractor.

 

  1. Capex implementation
  • Proposing the capex budget along with the user dept after making a plan
  • Making budgetary proposal
  • Planning and execution of the capex
  • Review the progress of the capex projects
  • Cost control
  • Reporting the compliance as per plan

 

  1. Cost monitoring
  • Review of the spend against budget
  • Reporting the compliance and in case of any overshoot, Mitigation to be planned.
  1. Networking /Liasoning and statutory compliance
  • Review of the schedule
  • Planning and execution of the statutory requirement
  • Maintaining the certificates as required by the statutory authority
  • Reporting deviations if any and plan for mitigation of the risk.

 

  1. Operating and Maintenance of Utility
  • Review of the critical parameters such as power consumed, water consumed,etc.
  • Check and ensuring qualified personnel are running the utility.

 

  1. Calibration of Equipment and measuring equipment.
  • Planning and make a schedule
  • Review the execution of the plan
  • Reporting in case of any deviation and making the system right
  • Ensuring statutory compliance is met.

  • Direct Reportee : 09-10 and indirect reporting approx 10
c) Geography Coverage (Country-wide/ State-wide / Area-wide)
  • Ankleshwar, Satara( Khandala ) , Patencheru, Rohtak, Kasna, Sriperumbudur
d) Corporate Coverage (Company-wide / Business Unit or Function-wide / Sub-function-wide / Other):
  • India

  • All departments of the plant, Corporate and Mantech Group, and other people from plants and depots. Audit and finance function.

  • Vendors, Statutory authority, Consultants. etc

  • Should have atleast 6-8 years of Industrial experience of Maintenance for chemical plants.
